Close Cousins

All five of these cute boys on the Perkins side were born within one year - Max, Joshua, Calvin, Alex & Logan. This picture is a couple months old, but it wasn't as easy to take as it looks, so I thought I would share it. Thanks to aunt Lyndy, the photographer!

Cabin Trip

Jamie and Rich invited us to visit their cabin in the Uintas the first week of August. It was beautiful and a great time to relax and spend time with family. We missed Heather, Ephraim, & Max this time, but not the snow and broken water pipes that we had when we all went last year!

Russell brought his marshmallow shooter, which of course was a hit with Sam, Jacob, Ethan & Jonah.
Count them...4 baby backpacks. Those boys had the best seats for the hike!

Fishing at Pass Lake on the way home (no, we still haven't caught anything, but it was fun)!

A good laugh

Calvin often thinks the weirdest things are really funny. Here's an example from the dinner table...

24th of July

We had another go at the Herriman fish pond (still haven't caught anything there yet). We had a good time, though. The weather was cooler and cloudy. We watched this storm come over the mountains and kept saying we should probably go back to the car. We did - about two minutes too late. We all got pretty wet, except Russell, who got soaked putting stuff away while Calvin and I hid out in the back seat.

Calvin is MOBILE

Calvin has been scooting around everywhere for the past few weeks.

He gets up on his hands and knees and rocks back and forth, then drops and scoots on his belly.

Independence Day

On the Fourth of July, we went to a man-made fishing pond in Herriman by G & G Perkins' house and then had a barbecue. It was really hot (and bright - hence the not-so-great pictures).

I was a sucker for the "Little Firecracker" outfit at Wal-Mart. Uncle Rich did set off lots of fireworks that night and Calvin loved them.
